Uganda @ 50 Essay Contests 2012

Nile Journal announces 2012 essay contest: Uganda since independence 50 years ago. Essay must deal with major events in the life of the Country since independence.
ELIGIBILITY: open to all.
ESSAY: shall be original, unpublished, English language, between 2500 to 5000 words (including footnotes or endnotes). Reasonable use of illustrations and tables welcome, use Times New Roman, font 12, double-spaces. No author's name on text page. Include cover page bearing author name, mail address and e-mail address
DATELINE & JUDGMENT: Essays must be submitted by August 31 2012. A panel from Nile Journal Ltd will evaluate the award-winning essay announce the results.
JUDGING CRITERIA: originality, insights, contribution new knowledge, style and clarity of presentation and documentation; Nile Journal Ltd reserves the right to make no award, if no reasonable submissions are received.
NOTE: Submission will be disqualified if subject is not relevant to topic and if lacking in appropriate and adequate citations.
THE AWARD: Winner will receive cash prize of Uganda Shillings 250,000. Winning essay will be published in Nile Journal.
